A Star that sweetly gleams…..by Audrey Fernandes
Well, here I am, writing about my encounter with Mr. Ronit Bose Roy.
Usually it so happens that when a person has been eagerly waiting for something and when suddenly it comes rolling his way, he starts assuming things, like how the day should turn out for him, what is he going to do on that particular day and above all what will be that precious thing like, for which he has been longing for years. Whatever I’ve written above, I’ve gone through it all, past one week or two, planning a meet with Mr. Roy.
Feeling excited and all the more nervous, I entered the gates of the studio where the interview was supposed to be conducted. As I took each step, I had cold feet and the chill was getting me inch by inch, trust me I’ve never been so damn scared even during my university exams. In the Green room, The Man Himself was waiting for us. I stepped in and Stuti introduced me to him saying, ‘this is Audrey’ and he uttered my name ‘hello Audrey’, we shook hands. God! I had butterflies in my stomach and some crazy smiley images in my mind were laughing their guts out.
Looking at our faces, he surely knew we were hesitant, worried, shaky and every word that means NERVOUS. What came next was a bazooka, he was SUPER COOL, trying to allay our edgy aghast feeling, asking us to sit and make ourselves comfortable, not once but again and again. Well, I can remember him saying, ‘you’ll are making me nervous’ and I replied, ‘no, you are making us nervous’.
I remember kneeling down and capturing him on the video as he opened his birthday gift and started reading it, he grinned, and that smile of his, just took my heart away. That’s was it, that one smile stole it alland shot me dead; he was darn cute and sweet. His cuteness cannot be captured in photographs it was REAL, the dimples, the smile, the fiery chinky eyes, everything REAL. It was like sitting in the executive row for a personal screening of the movie, RONIT BOSE ROY – A LEGEND. Through out the meeting I was looking out for that smiling face, and yes, I got a glimpse of it numerous times.
I was not looking at him directly because I didn’t want to, but started acting timid and sheepish. There were instances where he looked at me and started laughing because he must have never come across such a dumbfound girl ever, trust me the moment I got home the only thing I thought about was my ridiculous behaviour but there were more elated moments too. I wanted to get distracted and fidgety but every now and then he made sure that I was at ease and mentally in that room. After every question, he would insist on having tea or coffee, he asked us thrice, on the fourth time I said yes and asked for tea.
To my surprise he was nothing like I thought he would be, I wouldn’t describe my notion about him, but, RONIT SIR IS SO FUNNY AND HILARIOUS. Believe me I giggled at every answer he gave and murmured to myself how on Earth, can he be so chilled out? Anyone can imaginea person to be cool, but Ronit’s COOLEST OF ALL. Unknowingly I spoke to the most genuine person and a celebrity, whose name is Ronit Bose Roy. If I have to sum up my meet with him, I would call it ‘OVERWHELMING’. My fingers are actually slipping off the keyboard as I write this………the chill is rushing in again…..the more I think about this the more I get conscious. I think this is enough cause I need to keep some things to myself J . He enjoys simple things and leads an uncomplicated life. He doesn’t need to portray a role to have fans going crazy for him, because if you would see what I’ve seen, it would MAKE LOVING HIM MUCH MORE EASIER AND SIMPLER.

As expected, Audrey and I were nervous wrecks as we unsurely walked towards the studio. We stopped just under the building where his make up room was and took in our final breaths. Luckily, an exchange of pleasantries with Rasika Joshi calmed our nerves a bit. We walked up to his room and found a security guard outside. Oh my! I was very impressed! Hmmm…of course he has to have one!
We entered his make up room and saw something gorgeous. There he was, sitting at his desk, in a white pullover, writing something… He greeted us and after our initial introductions, he requested us to give him two minutes to finish his task at hand. He looked so sincere and so obedient… We noticed his non-gelled hair looked so much better! And when he was done with it… baba! There stood our dream…5’11″…with the cutest smile I have everrrr seen! At that very moment, i understood why most of us liked him without his mooch…he was looking soooooooo CUTE! I missed you’ll so much at that point…
Before the interview began, we gave him a rough idea about the meeting. He obliged sweetly and answered our questions rather thoughtfully. I wont say he was being diplomatic, just careful not to hurt anyone’s sentiments. Of course, we know how he is considering the fact that we are in touch with him on facebook and we know how he conducts himself.
We asked him about his friends in the industry, as in the interview… and he said how it was a show-to-show thing… At that point, he told us about the TellyChakkar issue which carried his cover story. He said he wanted us to go through it…and looked deeply thoughtful at that… I guess there were some things he wanted us to know… that’s when proposed to get a copy of TellyC for RRR as it was a private issue and not going to be available on the stands. Right then, he called up Anil Wanvari, Prerna’s dad, and requested him for a copy of TellyC for RRR. And he said that you know… it’s for “my website”. I know he comes and blogs and sometimes checks it out… but to hear that from him… “My website” … like Amisha says, janam safal ho gaya… the purpose of life has been fulfilled… “My website”…
Guys, it was almost like him taking us in a group hug 
You know, he has this stack of books he keeps in his make-up room and I bet he must be reading them thoroughly because he’s well versed with both the word and the world. And like we have read in the online TellyC that he dislikes mediocrity, he also has a book on the same. The other books I saw were those of Paulo Coelho- Eleven Minutes and Veronika Decides to Die. He’s read up on Osho too. And films! Good Lord! The number of DVDs he has and like he said, he studies them, makes it all fall into place that Ronit Bose Roy is not only doing his homework but doing it with immense passion. What’s nice about him is that he loves his craft but does not like to flaunt it in words. Ever so keen to learn, as we all heard, he intends to join an acting school in the coming year. Hmmm. You know what that means… he’s going to polish himself, hone his skills and give us more and more and more reasons to love love love him!
It shows. The sincerity on this man’s face shows. I’ll be honest, I was personally never fond of what he did simply because I had this prejudice about him being one of those hyped BT actors. But Bandini and his consistently brilliant act has made me want to go back to youtube and fill myself up on all what I’ve missed out on! And he’s a great guy. Facebook and a meeting make all those sleepless nights and staying up and watching one scene over and over and over again just to catch his expression, all so worth it.
Our love for him, in its truest sense, is right where it’s supposed to be- in our hearts. Including his.
And ha… for those like me who love his moustache, we’ll have to live with the memories of the mooch coz he’s not growing it back. He says the kiddos don’t like it… so till the time we cant convince Aador and Agasthya about how hot their dad looks with the mooch, Dharamraj Mahiyavanshi is the man to go to!
And you know guys… i mean, girls (!), i now completely understand why we adore him SO much.. He is genuine. And genuinely a great guy. He might not be vocal about most of the things, but it just shows that he really loves us all
I am very very grateful to God for making me a part of RRR and for giving us the opportunity to do this

Well Mr.Roy I think you just look like Pierce Brosnan since both of you have similar face structure and even your hairstyle is something really similar to him and the most important thing of all is that your acting is just like his. I really like your acting and you have this really nice charm and I think you have the best dialogues. I am still not over the dialogue which you said:’I want to marry you not as a woman but as a person”.I think you have a great personality and a very good taste in watches and shoes. I was really sad to see you in the Bandini leap promo, you could have atleast kept your mustache black. I really tried to meet you when i went to Bombay, I even found your address and car number but just couldn’t. Anyways I will still keep trying and lastly all the best for your career and

I have been a fan of other “actors” on Indian Television but after I saw him I forgot about every one else. I got to know what a real ACTOR on Indian Television is. He is the real deal. That’s the reason right now I am a Ronitian and only a Ronitian,We are original and we are the best, WE RULE! baaki sab andu pandu hai, seriously. That’s a fact. lol!

Seriously, this is probably the best way to end what has been a ROCKING year for all Ronitians here at RRR. We’ve had a GREAT year following the UNDISPUTED greatest character on television today, Dharamraj Mahiyavanshi, and to make things even better, not one, but TWO Best Actor awards for the main man!

I saw the vids on our YouTube account first, but seriously, it’s even better seeing them embedded over here. Awesome write-ups by Audrey and Stuti were another wonderful surprise.
Kudus all round to everyone for making this work. I’ve been part of many fangroups, and with all due respect to them, there is not one out there that can even hold a candle to, or lace the boots of the Ronitian Family! I say this truly — there is NO group out there like ours!
